Last night the MMS football teams played their final home game of the 2026 season as they took on the Sandusky Blue Streaks. The 7th grade game saw the Fliers and Blue Streaks offense go back and forth in the first quarter before some great defense gave the Fliers momentum and two big scores before halftime to lead 22-8 at the half. The second half saw each team score once for a final score of: Fliers 28 Blue Streaks 14! The win improves the 7th grade to 4-2-1 as they stay unbeaten in NOC play! Great job 7th grade! The 8th grade game saw the Fliers face adversity as they were down 12-0 at halftime but that didn’t phase the Fliers. The 8th grade team never backed down, made some adjustments at halftime and played a great second half including a late interception to seal the game. The offense found its rhythm and scores 3 second half touchdowns. Final Score: Fliers 20, Blue Streaks 18. The win improves the 8th grade to 3-3 on the season. Great job 8th grade! Both teams are back in action for their final game of the season next Thursday at Tiffin Columbian. As always, our cheerleaders did an outstanding job cheering on the Fliers in both games and were very loud and proud all night long!
