Clyde girls soccer (5-6-1 overall, 2-2-1 NOC) beat Tiffin Columbian 1-0 Wednesday night at Robert Bishop Stadium. Both teams couldn't get much going in the first half & settled for 0-0 tie at the half. Clyde finally broke through in the 74th minute when Clyde Quinn Feirstine found the back of the net to put Clyde up 1-0 for the only goal on the night. Clyde's goalkeeper Macey Carter only had to make 2 saves in the victory for the Fliers. Columbian keeper Chloe Hawk made some huge saves to keep the Tornadoes close all night. Clyde defenders Kailyn Bischoff, Marissa Frische, Lily Feirstine, Ella Yates & Avery Guhn helped preserve the shutout. Clyde will play a JV match at home on Saturday at 2pm against Norwalk. The varsity squad returns to action on Monday at home against Perkins.
