GIRLS SOCCER ENDS IN A 2-2 DRAW! The Clyde Girls Soccer team battled Edison to a 2-2 tie Wednesday night in Milan, moving to 3-5-1 overall and 1-1-1 in NOC play. Edison got on the board first when Gia Heater scored in the 38th minute, giving the Chargers a 1-0 lead at halftime. The Fliers answered in the 55th minute when Bree Caudill found the back of the net off an assist from Kailyn Bischoff to even the match at 1-1. Edison regained the lead in the 61st minute on a goal from Ellie Heater, but Clyde wasn't done. In the 68th minute, Mallory Meggitt stepped up and buried a penalty kick to tie the match at 2-2 and cap off the scoring! The Clyde defense of Lily Fierstine, Marissa Frische, Kailyn Bischoff, Ember Andres and Ella Yates battled all night, fending off a relentless Charger attack. Macey Carter came up huge in goal with 20 saves on the night. Edison's Natalie Mees recorded 3 saves. The Fliers are back in action Saturday at 12:30 PM when they travel to Toledo Rogers!
