Lady Flier soccer beats TCC 4-0

LADY FLIER SOCCER BEATS TCC 4-0

Clyde girls soccer (1-1 overall, 0-0 NOC) beat Toledo Central Catholic 4-0 at Robert Bishop Stadium on Wednesday night. Clyde started the scoring by an own goal from Central Catholic off a deflected shot from Clyde's Bree Caudill in the 8th minute. Clyde's Mimi Greenslade scored her 1st goal of the night off of an assist from Quinn Fierstine in the 21st minute for a 2-0 halftime lead. Clyde's Ember Andres scored in the 52nd minute off of an assist from Greenslade. Greenslade capped the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 69th minute. Clyde's Macey Carter had 5 saves on the night to help preserve the shutout. Toledo Central Catholic's goalkeeper Kylee Reyes had 10 saves. Clyde's defense was strong throughout the night, led by the backline Marissa Frische, Lily Fierstine, Ella Yates & Kailyn Bischoff. Avery Guhn, Mallory Meggitt & Angelia Ferkel also contributed on the defensive end. Clyde next match is Saturday, August 29th at home versus Northwood.
