The MMS Track and Field teams traveled to Oak Harbor High School for the OH Rocket Invite. The girls team finished 3rd out of 9 teams, scoring 105.5 points on the night. Gretta Framstad set a meet record winning the high jump with a record jump of 4 feet 6 inches. Great job and congratulations Gretta! The 4x400 relay team of Ella Young, Quinn Feirstine, Ava Scruggs, and Gretta Framstad also finished 1st with a time of 4:32. There were lots of other placers and all of the girls did a great job last night! In the boys meet, the Fliers scored 119 points, just behind champion Danbury in the 10 team competition. The Fliers set several meet records. Cam Crockeet was 2nd in the shot put but set the meet record of 38 feet 10 inches, before a Fostoria thrower beat Cam's record just a few minutes later. Great job Cam! The 4x400 relay team of Brock Parker, Karson Lee, Kooper Garner, and Luke Frische placed 1st and set a meet record with a run of 3:57.27. The 4x200 relay team of Colten Distel, Luke Frische, Kooper Garner, and DJ Johnson placed 1st and also set a meet record with a winning time of 1:41.62. The 4x100 relay team of Colten Distel, Liam Bucklew, Kooper Garner, and DJ Johnson placed first and set a meet record with a winning time of 48.83. Brock Parker won two more events and also set two more meet records by winning the 110 m hurdles in 16.99 seconds, and the 200m hurdles in 28.27 seconds. Congratulations to all of our winners from last night and all of the records are amazing accomplishments! Great job to all of our Flier athletes last night representing MMS.
