Last night, the MMS Flier basketball teams were in action, squaring off against the Vermilion Sailors in an SBC crossover matchup. The Lady Fliers hosted Vermilion and came away with two impressive victories. The 7th grade jumped out early, controlled every quarter, and held the Sailors to single-digit scoring throughout the game on their way to a dominant 38–7 win. The 8th grade followed with an offensive showcase of their own, scoring in bunches and putting together a fast-paced attack to defeat the Lady Sailors 62–20. Outstanding work, ladies! Both teams move to 1–0 on the season and now look ahead to Wednesday’s road trip to Huron to take on the Tigers.
